Surveying and Mapping
The Survey Geomatics Division (SGD)-of F. F. Cruz & Co., Inc. from which it started and expanded to become one of the leading surveying, mapping, planning, engineering design, and construction companies of the Philippines. Our international track record of fifty years that includes projects for our Asian neighbors and the United States distinguishes us solidly in the surveying industry.
We offer accurate surveying and mapping services; end-toend capabilities in aerial, land, and hydrographic surveys; digital photogrammetric mapping; and spatial integration solutions. SGD maintains a position of technological leadership in Surveying and Photogrammetric Mapping—always on the cutting edge in Geographic Information Systems, and in training our geodetic engineers, surveyors, GIS specialists and programmers, photogrammetric specialists, and aircrew.
As recognition of our commitment to quality service, SGD’s quality management system was certified under ISO 9001:2000 in December 2002
Aerial Photography System
- Two aircraft equipped with LeicaGPS Navigation
- T-Flight photoflight management system from Carl Zeiss for computersupported mission planning. Includes GPS-supported photoflight navigation, camera exposure and documentation of the completed mission
- SKIP and MATCH-AT for GPS-supported aerial triangulation to reduce ground control points requirement
Total Stations and Global Positioning System (GPS)
- Total stations from Leica and GPS equipment from Trimble and Leica for 24-hour surveying with accuracies up to 5mm + 1 ppm. Enables rapid static, stop-and-go kinematic techniques supplanting classical surveying for triangulation, transverse networks and photo control point surveys
- Interchangeable data cards for Leica Total Stations and GPS facilities input, downloading, processing and plotting
Film Procesing and Scaning
- Complete photo laboratory for Black and White or Color processing. COLEX RTF AN5 12- 24 color aeronegative processor with a processing speed of 24- inches per minute.
- UltraScan 5000 high-resolution aerial negative scanner from Vexcel that can scan at 2.5 microns pixel size, with a geometric accuracy of 2 microns.
- Zeiss SEG V photo rectifier/ enlarger and three Zeiss contact printers.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Systems design, application development and training.
- Data conversion/automation.
- 2D/3D digitizing and feature extraction.
- Tax mapping, business permits and licensing, billing and collection, environmental management and other public sector applications.
- Automated mapping and facilities management (AM/FM).
- Engineering support systems for road, water network and other infrastructure design.
LAND and Hydrographic Surveys
- Cadastral surveys.
- Topographic surveys.
- Engineering and facility surveys (As-built surveys).
- Parcellary surveys.
- Subdivision/Consolidation Surveys.
- Differential Global Positioning System (GPS) control establishment/densification.
- Route surveys.
- Hydrographic surveys.
- Nautical charting.
- Oceanographic and bathymetric surveys.
Digital Photogrammetric Maping
- Digital photogrammetry provides substantial automation and work reduction to Aerial Triangulation, DTM generation, orthophotos and mosaic and feature extraction.
- Imagestation Digital Photogrammetric system from intergraph, running on Windows NT enviroment, top-of-theline computers and latest stereoviewing technology.
